About SELF CAR WASH

Located at 14412 Tireman Ave, Detroit, MI 48228, SELF CAR WASH operates as a car wash serving Detroit in Michigan. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

In Detroit, washes are busiest on sunny weekends and the first dry day after rain or a snowstorm, when lines back onto the street; weekday mornings are the quietest. Across Michigan, expect a basic exterior wash to cost about what a fast-food meal does, with wax, tire shine and undercarriage rinse sold as tiers above it. Self-service bays are the cheapest way to clean a truck bed, a muddy off-roader or a vehicle that will not fit a tunnel, and many run around the clock. Check the listing for the wash type, hours, free vacuums, unlimited plans and whether the site accepts cards or app payments, then call ahead in freezing weather, when tunnels close.

Hours have not been published for this listing yet. Most businesses of this type in Detroit keep standard business hours, but call ahead to be sure, especially on weekends and holidays. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file.

Google shows 1.7 out of 5 based on 3 reviews. With so few reviews the score can move quickly; it will become more reliable as more customers leave feedback.

Detroit is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Getting around Detroit is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Michigan's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This self-service car wash is extremely outdated and poorly maintained. The equipment is old, unreliable, and only works sometimes—which is unacceptable when you’re paying for each minute. Half the time you’re left wondering if the power washer or brush is even going to function properly. The entire place is never clean and clearly not taken care of. It’s obvious that management has no interest in investing back into the property or improving the customer experience. Everything about this car wash screams “profits over people.” They’re happy to collect money, but not willing to maintain working machinery or provide a decent service. Overall, it’s just not a good car wash. It’s a waste of money, and you’re much better off taking your business elsewhere to a place that actually cares about maintenance and customers.
